Cesar Millan's Caramelized French Toast

Caramelized French Toast

Challah or brioche bread, cut into 1” slices
3 egg yolks
1 & 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar + extra
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg

Mix egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a shallow dish. Dip bread into mixture and soak 10-15 seconds on each side. Heat a pan or electrical griddle with butter and vegetable oil, and fry bread until the first side is light brown. Sprinkle about a half tablespoon granulated sugar on the top (raw) side of the bread to caramelize. Flip the bread, sugar side down, and fry until golden brown. Then, sprinkle another half tablespoon of sugar on the cooked side, and flip it over again to caramelize both sides.

When he arrived in California, he had no money and did not speak English. He worked at a dog grooming salon and walked dogs. After the local media featured his calming ability with dogs, he created the Pacific Point Canine Academy. One is his first clients, Jada Pinkett Smith, provided him with an English tutor. He then created the Dog Psychology Center, specializing in rehabilitating severely aggressive dogs. He has starred in several TV shows, including Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, broadcast in more than 100 countries worldwide.
